Where do your sheepskins come from?

Our sheepskins are produced as a by-product of meat production and no sheep are killed specifically for the skins.

Some people thoroughly object to animals being used for meat, fibre, skins or milk and we expect and understand that a sheepskin will not be acceptable to those who hold such views.

Our sheepskins come from a second generation European supplier.

What are the natural properties of wool?

Natural properties of wool include:

- Dirt repellent

- Resistant to: water, flame, static electricity

- Anti-bacterial

- Hypoallergenic

- Resilient

- Keeps you warm during the winter and cool during the summer

Are the agents used in the tanning process safe?

Our sheepskins come from a second generation European supplier.

All agents used in tanning and finishing process meet essential European Union directives concerning the environmental preservation & protection. Skins are tanned according to REACH regulations adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals, while enhancing the competitiveness of the EU chemicals industry.

natural colors / ECO: Do not use detrimental chromium harmful for health. Skins, their processing and treatment are safe for adults and children. Skins are biodegradable, organic.

Tanning chemicals are recycled by specialized companies.

The whole production is under very very strict control of veterinary chamber as well as officers entitled by European Union to deal with environmental protection.
